RYAN HEIMBACH

Raised in Laguna Beach, California, Ryan was exposed to art an early age. Ryan’s uncle whom is the artist William DeBilzan was the first to show him that you can make a living as an artist. Ryan’s mother, Diane DeBilzan owned a gallery during his teenage years, which gave him the insight into the art world and business side of it, she later took over the gallery again in October of 2021, exactly 20 years later. In 2008 the artist Andrew Myers hired Ryan, soon after that Myers became his mentor in art.

In 2010 he created his first series of sculptures titled, “Hands of Time,” and applied to the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach. He was the youngest artist in the summer of 2011 to be accepted into the exhibition. Since then he has been building more skills which includes drawing, painting, photography, filming and film editing.

In 2021 Ryan’s artwork was featured in the popular Apple TV+ program, “The Morning Show,” starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. The artwork is a charcoal drawing of Jennifer Aniston’s character “Alex Levy,” and her daughter. It is shown in the 2nd season, episode #3. It is the first time his work has been shown in a professional production.

Ryan is very fortunate to have friends that are masters in many different styles of art and professions. Everything from oil painting, color theory, photography, mixed media, sculpture, bronze casting, mold making, video production and woodworking just to name a few. If it was not for those connections and mentoring, Ryan feels he would not be where he is today.
